The Department of Physical Education and Sports is one of the oldest departments of the college, and is extremely popularwith the students. It is easily one of the largest, and fully-equipped, sports departmentsamong colleges in Mumbai. The College Gymkhana caters to indoor sports, such as chess, badminton, carom, and table tennis, and has outdoor facilities, such as a basketball and volleyball court,along with a playground, butthe jewel its centrepiece is a state-of-the-art gymnasium, complete with all the latest equipment. Also, a jogging track, with an open gymnasium, has been constructed adjacent to the college ground. 

The department trains students for a host of indoor and outdoor sports and competitions, and sends entriesfor various intercollegiate, and other recognised tournaments. Students who represent the college are issueda travelling and daily allowance, requisite sports kit, set of t shirt and shorts, and a certificate of participation. Outstanding athletes are given other incentives, such as track suits, sportswear, shoes, and equipment related to their sport, so as to motivate them.

To promote a culture of sports, and spread awareness about health, the department conducts various intra-mural sports competitions throughout the year, celebratesmajor events such as the Annual Sports Day, National Sports Day, International Yoga Day, and International Olympics Day,hosts various competitions, organizes workshops and lectures by eminent personalities, related to sports and allied fields.And periodically conducts special camps for fitness and yoga.
